  • About the Edition

Sometimes, there is nowhere safe to hide. It was a typical evening at a mall outside Portland, Maine. Three teenage friends waited for the movie to start. A boy flirted with the girl selling sunglasses. Mothers and children shopped together, and the manager at the video-game store tending to customers. Then the shooters arrived. The chaos and carnage lasted only eight minutes before the killers were taken down. But for those who lived through it, the effects would last forever. In the years that followed, one would dedicate himself to a law enforcement career. Another would close herself off, trying to bury the memory of huddling in a ladies" room, hopelessly clutching her cell phone--until she finally found a way to pour her emotions into her art. But one person wasn"t satisfied with the shockingly high death toll at the DownEast Mall. And as the survivors slowly heal, find shelter, and rebuild, they will discover that another conspirator is lying in wait--and this time, there might be nowhere safe to hide.

See more I really wanted to like this book. Another splendid book from this remarkable author. Martin's Press for the Advance Copy to read and review. BONUS it had an adorable puppy as sidekick. Some text about cameras, lights, and air ventilation.

I would love to have a grandmother like her. I ate this book up in a short time because it was so intriguing with amazing characters. And love, because this is still a romance, after all! The author delivered a tale that kept me glued to the pages, as well as utterly captivated. Powerful and gripping sculptures crafted with emotion she has trouble expressing.

Suspense - Thriller - Nasty Baddie all work great. Cum sociis natoque penatibus et magnis dis parturient montes, nascetur ridiculus mus. I absolutely loved this but really don't know what to try next by this author. The Narrator s where very good. Now this book also gets a five-star rating from me.

Excellent narration too. Eager for the release of its sequel "Of Blood and Bone". What are the shelters made of? You see, the good guys with the guns who stopped the bad guys with the guns in this story?

From teens to young adults we learn what the survivors have done with their lives, and how obsessed one person is that they were even still alive. Martin's Press for the honor of being one chosen to review this Advanced Reader Copy!

His Shelter in place book humor, and his never-ending appreciation for his colleagues and friends warmed my heart. Years later, they are Shelter in place book adults ensconced in careers — one an artist and the other a police detective.

Shelter in place book narration is so powerful that one can create the whole scene in his mind and can feel himself to be one of the survivors. Another, Simone Knox, lost herself for awhile until she found therapy in her art.

Alone, save for the tar and the bird and the other thing, for which I have no name. While we all pray that we are protected from such a horrific event in real life, it may just help open eyes of those who have never been touched by such an event what those who have or will experience it in the future to be more sympathetic and understanding.

Ideally, Shelter in place book shelters never have to be used during a crisis. It sounds like firecrackers. Even though I had an idea of what was coming, I was still anxious and on edge. Our neighbors are miles away. He's just finishing up his break when he hears popping noises The first part is the shooting itself.

January LaVoy has narrated the crime scene quite effectively. Make plans for allowing your pets to go to the bathroom indoors as well. The crime of a few minutes can destroy the lives of several people within this short time span and leaves them with no chances of survival even if they survive the gunshot or the bomb blast.

For even longer periods it is necessary that they make some prior preparations before sheltering in place.

Front and back. All the characters in this book were fascinating to me, they like this story also evolved over time - more than 13 years to be precise. Another splendid book from this remarkable author. We know who did it the whole time, and we see that person's viewpoint too, it was just a matter of them being caught.

So, if you love reading romantic suspense, an utterly suspenseful story that had such an authentic feel that will chill you to the bone, especially the opening scene, this is a MUST READ in my opinion.
